A year without a Santa Claus?

For eight years now, an elderly man on a fixed income of just over $600 a month has been on a mission to see that children in need find gifts beneath their Christmas trees. His name is Jack Bailey and he operates “Santa’s Workshop” from a small, red farmhouse just southeast of Meredosia.
Santa’s Workshop has always depended upon gifts from the outlying communities to do good works and has managed, through Jack’s efforts and through the donations of others (of time, money, or gifts), to see that many hundreds of children did not go without at Christmas time.
