Water woes in Chapin

    Water woes in the village of Chapin continue as trustees voted to approve an increase in sewer rates during the regular monthly meeting held last week.
    Several years ago village residents and the community of Concord, which purchases its water from Chapin, saw a significant rise in water rates after the village responded to EPA demands that a new water treatment plant be constructed. The village is currently paying on that loan.
