Virginia school track inches forward, board president steps aside

While the Virginia School Board on Monday evening took another step toward rebuilding the athletic track, it also saw its president step aside.
At the end of Monday’s session, Matt Werner shared with the board his decision to step down. Werner will remain a member of the board.
“This is a good group of board members who take their positions seriously,” Werner stated in his letter to the board. “I look forward to continuing to serve the district as a board member and working with all of you.”
