Virginia installs new mayor, bids farewell to old

    Monday evening’s Virginia City Council session was a time for fond farewells and warm welcomes.
    After 14 years in city government, Steve Sudbrink presided over his final meeting as Virginia’s mayor. It also was the final meeting for Alderman Steve Clark and City Clerk Ann Plunkett.
    City Attorney Tim Veith administered the oath of office to the incoming mayor, Reg Brunk, as well as Ashley Cox, city clerk; Chris Barrett, city treasurer; Ott Wulf, newly elected alderman, and Rickey Cox, who was reelected as alderman.
