Virginia Bar-B-Que committee convenes

    The Virginia Bar-B-Que committee met on Oct. 26 for the purpose of distributing profits from the 50th Annual Bar-B-Que. Donations were made to the following organizations: CAV/EMT, Cass County Food Pantry, Summer Daze Youth Program, Christian Women’s Fellowship, Virginia Little League, PTO, Daycare, National Honor Society, Sports Boosters, the Needy Children’s Fund, Cub Scouts, 4H Club, and the Park. Virginia Learning and Fitness Center was selected as business of the year and Joe Tate and Amy Fritsche were named volunteers of the year.
    The Virginia BBQ committee wishes to thank all of the volunteers and local businesses for their support. The 2017 Bar-B-Que will take place June 2, 3, and 4.
