Village of Meredosia to host historical society

After a hiatus, the Village of Meredosia will once again host a historical society. Keith Anderson was a guest at the October meeting of the board and informed trustees that discussions are ongoing.
Longtime Police Officer Richard Pullings has submitted his registration due to health reasons. Questions were raised regarding if officers were fit to serve. If not, are they a liability to the Village? Trustees voted to require physical exams every two years for each officer. The village will cover the cost of the exams. Chief Williams included that his department has closed two high profile cases recently: a string of burglaries and stolen firearms had been recovered.
