Video gaming soon coming to Village of Chapin

Video Gaming will soon be coming to the Village of Chapin. Trustees approved the request last week during the July meeting of the board.
The request came from the owners of the Prairieland FastStop convenience store.
In the streets and utility report from the meeting: use of a roller came from IRC for the cemetery. Doyle Plumbing was approved to replace the air compressor at the water plant. The cost of the unit including labor was $8,300. The same firm was also hired to install values at the sewer lagoon to improve aeration to meet EPA guidelines; work is estimated to be just under $11,000. IRC was approved to do the annual repair of Village streets. The $37,000 needed to complete the work will be taken from Motor Tax funds.
