Tiger Nation continues fundraising efforts

For four years, Tiger Nation has helped raise money so that Beardstown middle schoolers could have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities - but this fundraising process has gotten more difficult with each passing year, according to Tiger Nation Treasurer Sue Wilson.
It all began at the end of the 2012-13 school year, when the school board cut extracurricular activities in the 2013-2014 school year.
“‘Extracurricular’ is an umbrella term,” Wilson explained. “It includes sports as well as activities and clubs like National Honor Society, Student Council, and music programs.”
