Sensory overload

Sensory overload — Combine quacking ducks, peeping chicks, oinking pigs, mooing cows, and squealing, giggling and shouting pre-school and grade school children and the result was a cacophony of sound that overloaded the senses of students, teachers and in some cases the animals during the annual FFA barnyard day held last Thursday at Beardstown High School.

In the last few years, the phrase “fake news” has worked its way into our vocabulary. It is a phrase used to describe information that is accepted as fact by some but disbelieved by others.
