Rushville man found murdered in Meredosia

Police seek clues, motive

Meredosia schools were placed on a “soft lock-down,” and its villag- ers were left stunned after the body of a Rushville man was discovered in a vehicle parked near the school.

Morgan County Coroner Jeff Lair pronouced Robert L. Utter, 42, of Rushville dead at the scene Thursday morning, May 24, after his body was found in a vehicle parked a short distance from Meredosia’s grade school/high school.
