No substitute for speed

No substitute for speed — Beardstown’s Antonio Medrano slides into second base well ahead of the throw to the bag.  Medrano got a good jump on the pitcher’s delivery to the plate, and forced a hurried throw from the CPC catcher that sailed high.  The  Tigers swept the Panthers in the double header played Saturday at Ed Lewis Field.
