Neighbors want Virginia garage operation shut down

“Frank Long is operating a commercial business in a residential neighborhood and it must be shut down,” Jesus and Alice Franco said in a statement handed out to the Virginia City Council Monday evening.

Franco and her husband, Jesus, are neighbors of Frank Long who operates an enterprise he advertises as Long Over Due Automotive.

In a surprise twist, Mayor Reg Brunk stated he told Long on two occasions that he could not run a business at his residence.

Alderman Jason French, who represents that area, described Long as “a family man trying to make a living.” French pledged to “get it fixed,” asking only that he be given “a little bit of time.” &nbsp;&nbsp;<ahref=""><spanstyl... 13px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">To view more, please log in or subscribe to the digital edition.</span></a></p>
