Lincoln Home celebrates 100 years

    This year Lincoln Home National Historic Site observes the centennial of the National Park Service (NPS). In February the public is invited to participate in Centennial activities at the Lincoln Home Visitor Center as follows:
    On Feb. 20 from 2 p.m.-2:30 p.m., the documentary Tuskegee Airmen: Sacrifice and Triumph will be shown. This 30-minute film tells the true story of the first African American fighter pilots, known as the Red Tails.
    On Feb. 26 from 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.-10 p.m. there will be a showing of the 49-minute movie premiere of the 150th Anniversary Re-enactment of Lincoln’s Funeral.
