End-of-year activities at Triopia schools

End of the year activities for students closed out the school year in Triopia: sixth-grade students traveled to St. Louis for an afternoon Cardinal game; the PTO provided tickets for the game and lunch. Eighth-grade students were treated to a trip to the St. Louis Art Museum and the Missouri Natural History Museum,  donated by Allen Anderson. The Class of 2017 was honored on May 1 with ‘Decision Day,’ where all seniors were asked publicly about their secondary choices. The Seniors traveled to Florida for this year’s Senior Trip. Universal Studios and a Tampa Bay game were among the highlights.
The building committee presented a list of projects to be completed before the first day of school. A $25,000 parking lot resurfacing was first on the list. The grade school restrooms and high school boys’ locker room will see improvements; estimated cost exceeds $23,000. A replacement project of the hot water piping will cost the district an estimated $21,000. A customary inspection by the State Fire Marshal’s office will result in the installation of an exhaust fan and exterior door adjustments.
