Anyone involved in Cass County 4-H since the 1960s has probably heard the Scheer family name at least once, and more than likely it’s been because of Dick Scheer.  He’s been a 4-H club leader, a Cass County Fair board member, and now he’s “just a volunteer.” It’s that lifetime of commitment that earned Dick Scheer a nomination as this week’s Hometown Hero.   “I guess it’s just something that’s…
