Citizens naturalized at Old State Capitol

    Sixty new citizens of the United States will be sworn in during naturalization ceremonies at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, at the Old State Capitol State Historic Site in Springfield.
    U.S. District Judge Richard Mills will preside over the ceremony, and Clerk of the U.S. District Court Kenneth A. Wells will administer the oath of citizenship. The new citizens reside in counties located in the Central District of Illinois.
    A reception for the newly naturalized citizens and their families will follow the ceremony. The reception will be hosted by various Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
