Chapin Village Board saves History House

History has been saved in Chapin. Trustees approved a motion to hire Servpro to clean and relocate historical items to a temporary location from the History House. The History House is in disrepair and has been the topic of discussion at monthly board meetings for several months. Estimated cost of the work is over $4,500.
In the utility report at a recent meeting: service has been shut off at a residence on Superior Street and at another on Congress. A lien has been filed on the Superior address for non-payment. All fire hydrants have been flushed and repainted within the village.
