A-C receives Farmers Grow Rural Education grant

According to the National Science and Math Initiative, the number of jobs in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) is expected to grow significantly over the next decade. To ensure Illinois students are prepared to take on these jobs and have the education they need to help solve global challenges, the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, has partnered with local farmers to provide a $10,000 grant to A-C Central CUSD #262.
A-C Central is just one of the many success stories of the Grow Rural Education program. Examples of additional past winning programs include helping schools build greenhouses, develop robotics programs and create livestock learning laboratories.
