Body discovered at Jim Edgar

    A body was discovered at the Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area, Site M, on Sunday, Feb. 19.
    The body was identified as David Gibson, 61, of Athens, according to Cass County Death Examiner Scott Lummis.
    Gibson, an administrator at the Hope Institute for Children and Families in Springfield, was found partially burned in a fire. However, Lummis has not yet ruled a cause of death.
    The death is being investigated by the Illinois State Police.
