Virginia’s Tureman Opera House too costly to save or demolish

Though the news is disappointing, it comes as anything but a surprise to Virginia residents.

The news in question is a determination by a Springfield-based structural engineer that any effort to save Virginia’s Tureman Opera House building would not be cost effective.

He said the cost would be “prohibitive.” &nbsp;&nbsp;<ahref=""><spanstyl... 13px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">To view more, please log in or subscribe to the digital edition.</span></a></p>
