Nancy Jean Hoesman

Nancy Jean Hoesman, 81, Chandlerville, died at her home at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

She was born on December 9, 1940 in Jacksonville, to Robert and Helen Lowene (Dietsch) Boensel. She married Albert Hoesman on October 20, 1973 at the Fairview United Methodist Church.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Albert, of Chandlerville, children: Brad (Shelly) Wessel, Rhonda (Michael) Boeker, Teresa (Russell) Jarvis, Susan (Gary) Shoemaker, J (Deedra) Wessel, and Kimberly (Nicholas) Mahoney, 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and brother, Clyde Boensel.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Tim Wessel. Nancy was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She worked as a cook for Crane Lake Duck Club for over 30 years. Her hobbies included embroidery, knitting, playing cards with her family, bingo, cooking, baking, reading, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. The most important thing to her was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A visitation was held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 7, 2022. at Fairview United Methodist Church in Chandlerville, with a second visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mark Horn and Rev. Joe Tomich  officiated. Burial followed the service at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Nancy’s name to Fairview Cemetery, the Children’s Tumor Foundation in honor of her grandson, or 1P36 Deletion Syndrome Awareness in honor of her great granddaughter.
