Myles Edmund Krohe

Myles Edmund Krohe, 70, of Beardstown, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 1, 1951, in Beardstown the son of Oliver Andrew and Jewel Elizabeth “Bettie” Hamblin Krohe. He married Deb Jackson on February 5, 2000 at Beardstown Church of the Nazarene and she survives in rural Virginia.

He is also survived by two children, Kyle (wife Gennah) Cook of Beardstown and Kayle (husband Corey) Masters of Virginia; three grandchildren, Finnley of Beardstown and Raegan and Coby of Virginia; four sisters, Carol (husband Chuck) Wubker of Beardstown, Dottie (deceased husband Paul) Puckel of Beardstown, Ann (husband Tom) Bell of College Station, TX, and Audrey Perry of Beardstown; two brothers, Allen (wife Jackie) Krohe of Beardstown, and Ken (wife Kelly) Krohe of Wichita Falls, TX; a brother-in-law, Alan (wife Susan) Jackson of Taylorville; a special aunt Helen “Ma” Bryant of Girard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janet Spears, and a brother, David Krohe (surviving wife Lona, husband Bill Wagner), a niece, Pam Krohe, and a nephew, Percy DeWayne Wubker.

Myles graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1970. He was a faithful member of Beardstown Church of the Nazarene. He worked for Ralph Wankel Farms, Paul’s McCulloch Sales, and owned the Cozy Dog in Beardstown before selling to his brother. He then began a 28-year career as a rural mail carrier, serving the residents of Virginia and Chandlerville, and retired in 2019. Myles attended many tractor pulls, drag races, and bargained for many treasures at auctions. Myles had a deep love for his family. He cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren but shared a special love for his wife that was apparent to all that knew him.   

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Beardstown Church of the Nazarene with the Reverend Jerimy Wooley officiating. Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
