Mike L. Logsdon

Mike L. Logsdon, 57, Springfield and formerly of Beardstown, died Monday, January 10, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born December 19, 1964 in Beardstown, the son of Ed and Bonita Belville Hill. He married Karen Meier on August 20, 2018 in Astoria and she survives.

He is also survived by five daughters, Andrea (Charles) Frank of Beardstown, Erica (Cody) Thompson of Arenzville, Kassie Lynn of Astoria, Kelsey Mansfield and Kourtney Logsdon, both of Beardstown; seven grandchildren, Branigan, Brody, Tripp, Loki, Eli, Tyson and Isla; one brother, Leon (Sheri) Clark of Beardstown; one sister, Debbie (Clyde) Callaway of Beardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Herschel Logsdon and Dave Logsdon.

Mr. Logsdon was a 1982 graduate of Rushville High School and a U.S. Army veteran having served in Operation Desert Storm. Mike worked as a correctional officer for the State of Illinois, before employment with MBM Foodservice as an over the road truck driver. He volunteered his time coaching softball in Beardstown and Rushville. Mike enjoyed collecting sports cards, fishing, mushroom hunting and attending concerts, especially KISS.

A funeral service was held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Sager Funeral Home with burial at Browning Cemetery where military rites were performed.
