Master Gardener Training to begin in August

    The University of Illinois Extension Unit 14 (Adams, Brown, Hancock, Pike, and Schuyler Counties) will be offering Master Gardener training beginning Aug. 26.
    The training will be held Wednesdays from Aug. 26 through Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Adams County Extension Office at 330 S. 36th S. in Quincy
    The program is open to anyone ages 19 and older who are interested in plants and gardening and want to share their knowledge with others. Those that enroll in the program are provided training and education in various aspects of horticulture including: soils and fertilizers; botany; vegetable gardening; trees and shrubs; annuals and perennials; diseases; botany; insects; turf; fruit; and landscape design
