Active duty military, Guard or Reserve, in their sacrifice there is no difference

For many people, civilian and active duty military alike, reserve component service members are often viewed as less-than-full partners in our national defense doctrine.

Guard and reserve component members are often referred to by such colorful terms as “weekend warrior, part-time soldier, or rent-a-troop.”

Reserve component and guardsmen and women, however, will refer to their life’s station as citizen-soldier, minute-men and women; patriot.
