Dear Editor,
A child indoctrination law in taxpayer-funded schools came into effect this month.
According to the General Assembly website, “The teaching of history of the United States shall include a study of the roles and contributions of the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender people.”
The Illinois Family Institute, which represents family and presents up-to-the minute info on family and laws, writes, “K-12 textbooks will... expose young captive audiences to deviant sexuality. Children will be tested in order to graduate 8th grade. (Accomplishments should be based on merit, not sexual behavior.)”
Our elected officials in Springfield voted for this law which goes against the teachings of the Bible. “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned.” (NKJV)
If a parent wishes his or her child or children not take this class, he or she may talk with the teacher and opt out of that class, according to Illinois Family Institute. People need to do what seems right for our next generation and our nation.
Many people do not have knowledge of this law. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.” Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34 (NKJV)
