Postal workers and citizens aid food drive

The letter carriers in Beardstown, Virginia and Ashland are to be commended for the FOOD DRIVE last month.
Cass County Food Pantry received much needed food to restock the shelves. Beardstown’s donation was well over 550 items and Virginia’s was nearly 400 items. Our thanks to all who worked extra on that weekend and the many patrons who put food out by their mailboxes or brought food to the Post Offices. The pantry is always in need of extra food. This was a good time to receive an added donation. Summer donations are always slow in coming in.
Thanks again Postal employees and the general public.
