What could possibly go wrong with this idea?

    Clement Studebaker and his brothers left their mark by creating the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company (later renamed Studebaker Corporation), manufacturer of wagons, carriages, and then automobiles and trucks.
    Clement’s sons – Clement, Jr., George, and J.M. – decided to leave their mark, as well. So in 1902, the trio purchased the Columbus Watch Manufacturing Co. of Columbus, Ohio. Next they built a modern three-story plant on a 10-acre parcel located on South Bend’s east side, opening the facility in 1903.
