On October 15, 2022, Larry Neal Wagner, loving husband and father of three children, died at the age of 71. Larry was born on April 2, 1951, in Beardstown, to parents Clarence and AuVerne Wagner.

He was the custodian for the Beardstown School District for over 39 years! On June 9, 1973, he married Margaret Cornell. They raised their girls, Becky Brewer (Todd), Lori Smith (Doug) and Janet Hunter (Richard).

Larry was best known for his hospitality, generosity, and his service to others. He could put anyone at ease in his presence. All were welcomed in his home.

He enjoyed gatherings to cook large quantities of food and bake the best chocolate chip cookies. He loved decorating the house and Christmas time was his favorite to decorate.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, his children, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a half sister.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, at Sager Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home.
