LaHood wins Cass

    Voters in Cass County gave their nod to newwly elected Republican Darin LaHood in last Thursday’s special election to fill the seat for the 18th Congressional District.
    With a 7.81 percent turnout in Cass County, LaHood received 457 votes over Democrat Rob Mellon who received 241 votes.
    The county’s winner reflected the choices made throughout the 18th District as LaHood easily carried the election.
     The election was held to choose a replacement for Aaron Schock, who resigned March 31.
