Kathleen E. Kent, 76, Springfield, died on November 20, 2022 at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.

She was born on November 16, 1946 in Peoria to Russell Ogden and Ethel Johnson.

Mrs. Kent is survived by one sister, Diane (Lyle) Stone of Chandlerville; two nephews, Jarrett “JB” (Sylvia) Stone of Chandlerville and Schuyler (Grayce) Stone of Petersburg; one niece, Porscha Stone of Petersburg and three great-nephews, Grady, Everett and Ansel Stone.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel “Dee” Ogden and one nephew, Marco Dane Stone. 

Cathy had an unforgettable personality and had no trouble speaking her mind. She enjoyed traveling, reading and going out to eat with friends and she had a love for all animals. Although she lived in Springfield, she still enjoyed spending time in Chandlerville with her sister and family. Cathy did not have children but treated her niece and nephews as her own.

Cremation rites were accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 3, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery in Bath. Services were entrusted to Bisch Funeral Home West, www.bischfuneralhomewest.com.
