Karen Sue Cox, 66, of Beardstown passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, at her home.
    She was born April 27, 1954, in Beardstown, the daughter of Lee Robert and Glenna Black Lyles. She married Thomas Cox in October of 1979 in Peoria and he survives.
    She is also survived by one son, Tom Cox, Jr. of Chicago; one daughter, Kelly Cox of Rushville; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Dee (Charlie) Coffey of Rushville. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Walt Lyles (surviving wife, Betty of Beardstown).
    Mrs. Cox was employed at Beardstown IGA for over 20 years. She loved to shop and enjoyed browsing around at local yard sales.
