Judy Silsby, 76, Beardstown, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home.

She was born November 8, 1945 in Beardstown, the daughter of Riley and Gladys Vaughn Fisher.  She married Owen Trainer and they later divorced. She later married Wayne Silsby on June 20, 1981 in Virginia and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2008.

She is survived by one son, Dustin Trainer of Virginia; one daughter, Crystal Bennett of Beardstown; step-daughter, Jeanette Pierson of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Zachary and Katelyn Trainer, Tyler, Chris, Mikaela and Tessa Bennett, Brittney and Kyle Pierson; two brothers, Richard Fisher of Summum and Norman (Reba) Fisher of Beardstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Teresa Darlene; one brother, Ronald Fisher; half-brother, Riley Fisher, Jr.; and a step-brother, Larry Schmidt.

Ms. Silsby was a 1963 graduate of Beardstown High School and was employed by Bohn Heat Transfer in Beardstown, Burris Seed, Arenzville and worked for over 15 years at Nestle in Jacksonville, retiring in 2009.

She enjoyed being outdoors where she could be found working in her yard, gardening, picking raspberries and horseback riding.

Cremation will be accorded. Private burial will be held at a later date at Ipava Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.sagerfuneralhome.com.
