Judy Ann Logsdon, 82, Beardstown, died Monday, March 20, 2023 at Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville surrounded by her family.
She was born March 17, 1941 in Schuyler County, the daughter of Virgil and Ethel Orwig Meyer. She married John Curtis Logsdon on October 10, 1960 and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1990.
She is survived by one son, Todd Logsdon (companion Dottie Grafford) of Beardstown; five grandchildren, Cole (wife Heather) Logsdon, Sarah (husband Brett) Burton, Erin Logsdon, Jake Logsdon, and Annie Logsdon; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Troy Logsdon, Miles Gene Burton, and Luke Baier; one sister, Glenna (husband Ronald) Cox of Browning; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, John Curtis Logsdon II and Troy Logsdon, one sister, Betty Lewis, and a brother, Bill Meyer.
Judy graduated from Rushville High School in the class of 1959. She moved to Chicago and worked for American Airlines and a few months later she moved back home and married. She spent her younger years staying home to raise her children and later began a 33-year career with the Beardstown Sanitary District, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed boating, skiing, and traveling with her girlfriends. She was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan and loved anything that had to do with waterfowl and black labs. Judy’s greatest memories are the ones she made with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will always remember their Nan.
Graveside memorial services were held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Beardstown City Cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
