I was born March 5, 1948, to Chester (Chet) and Margaret Walker of Rushville. I lived my life to the fullest until I passed on December 12, 2020, due to complications of a life well lived and a body well used.
My childhood was a happy one, my teenage years were filled with much fun and humor. As a young adult, I served my country in the United States Army in Vietnam, was decorated and honorably discharged.
I enjoyed a good family life or two, as most people do. I enjoyed kids, grandkids, friends, yard work, scooters, music, and woodworking in my little shop in the basement. In later years, I enjoyed Bingo, meeting my buddies for coffee in the mornings, shopping, and taking care of the cats. Life was short, I made it sweet.
I was preceded in death by my parents and my wife Georgia, who passed away only weeks before me, on Nov. 15, 2020.
I am survived by my daughter, Amanda Walker of Macomb, my step-daughter, Julie Vredenburgh of Beardstown, my sister, Betty (Chris) Howe of Jacksonville, and their families.
There will be a joint celebration of my life and my wife’s at a later date to be determined. I hope you will come and have a good time. You know I would!
