    Ronnie Lee Chestnutt, 79, of Nebo, formerly of Beardstown,  died peacefully surrounded by his family at the home of his grandchildren, Brittany and her partner Nate on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
    Ronnie was born Nov. 13, 1940, in Beardstown, the son of George Franklin and Martha Louise Johnson Chestnutt.
    He married Brenda Ann Bradley on April 19, 1970, in Rushville and she preceded him in death on Feb. 1, 2007.
    Survivors include his children, Charla Weisenburger, Kristine Edwards, Floria Maday (Steve), Violette Davis, Ronnie Chestnutt, Jr., James Chestnutt and Christian Lipcamon (Paul); 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and two sisters.
    Mr. Chestnutt was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served his country from 1961-1964. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, camping and watching western movies. His true joy was found when he was spending time with his grandchildren.  
    A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at Sager Funeral Home with burial at Beardstown City Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
