Virginia- The Cass County Health Department announced another Covid-related death of a Cass County resident. A 67-year-old female passed away Thursday morning in an area hospital.
The Illinois Department of Public Health confirmed 38 new cases of Covid 19 in Cass County Thursday. New cases include four males under 10, two females under age 10, one male in his teens, five females in their teens, five males in their 20s, three females in their 20s, three females in their 30s, five males in their 40s, one female in her 40s, one male in his 50s, five females in their 50s, one male in his 60s, one female in her 60s, and one male in his 80s. All new cases have been notified and instructed to isolate at home. CCHD is in the process of notifying close contacts with instructions on quarantine. None of the cases are associated with any long-term care facility. They are all a result of community spread transmission.
Cass County’s overall Covid-19 case count is now at 842. The active case count is at 243. The total number recovered is 579, with 20 deceased. There are two cases currently hospitalized.
