Horace Mann completes 28 DonorsChoose.org projects in central Illinois

Twenty-five teachers in central Illinois will be receiving new supplies after Horace Mann donated more than $10,000 to complete their DonorsChoose.org projects. Horace Mann funded two projects in the Beardstown CUSD, two in Auburn, three in Champaign and 21 in the Springfield Public Schools during its Central Illinois School Business Leaders Forum in Springfield this week.
“Horace Mann was founded by two Springfield educators 70 years ago to provide affordable auto insurance for teachers,” says Horace Mann President and Chief Executive Officer Marita Zuraitis. “We’ve grown into a company focused on helping educators with their financial needs, including helping them get supplies for their classroom. We know that by completing funding on these projects, these teachers will have more tools and supplies when the new school year begins and will have to spend fewer of their own dollars in their classrooms.”
