Yard work, store-bought pie, and great big apples

We did a lot more outside work on Sunday - my daughter, son-in-law, my son next door, and me. We cut bushes, power-washed the house and barn, and used the weed eater to make a space to till and plant the garlic and uncover the two new blueberry starts. After my son got the weeds whacked, I pulled the rest from around the blueberries and proceeded to slice my finger open on some sharp weed. What a mess! It’s still very sore and seeping some blood.
We had a good dinner of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, and tea. Later, while checking out the freezer for dinners next week, I ran across a frozen pumpkin pie, so I put it in the oven. It was really good and I even found some whipped cream for on top. The kids wanted to know what brand it was (couldn’t tell them it was mine).
Yes, sometimes I don’t bake and I buy a pie. This pie I had bought at DOT foods last year. It was very good even though I hate to admit the crust was better than mine. The whipped cream was even older than that but it was good too.
