Vendors at Farmer’s Market lose at least 1/2 of what was planted

We had nine vendors at Farmer's Market this past week which is  the most so far this season. There is more of a variety of product to choose from, but I see that slowing. Some of the vendors are telling me they have lost at least 1/2 or more of what they had planted for harvest.
I know I did, and I thought I would try to get some fall crops in, but now it’s gotten too hot to be in the garden. The tomatoes are small but taste pretty good.
This week the blackberries should be ready if the bugs haven't eaten them. I was busy most of the weekend and didn't get out to pick the beetles off.
