Thinking about where we come from

It’s Fathers Day, and I’m writing this. When you read this it will be over. I hope you all had a good one.
I was remembering my father today, and thinking, if not for him, when we have a family get-together a lot of us wouldn’t be there if not for his  existence. I wouldn’t be here or any of my kids, grandkids, or great-grandkids.
My Irish grandfather came over on a ship to Niagra Falls and started his life in America in New York. His family moved to Jacksonville, and had a produce business, which my dad worked at. If they hadn’t lived next door to my mother’s family, my mom and dad probably wouldn’t have married and I wouldn’t be writing this now, and you wouldn’t be reading it.
