Still waiting for warmer weather

Customers are wanting to get their plants. I have been telling them they probably need to not put them out just yet. From every farm report I listen to, and the news, we’re not going to warm up much during the month of May. I know everybody gets anxious about getting their gardens in and some for bragging rights, but the plants will just sit there and not do very well until they feel warm enough to take off. The people who got seeds in much earlier seem to be doing okay, so who’s to know just what’s going to work. Just do your own thing for your garden and pray a lot.
I know the asparagus is slow in growing. We’ve had a few batches, and the boys are grateful. One way they like it is cut up, sauteed, and then scrambled eggs and cheese cooked over the asparagus.
