Helping family move to Chatham

We had a busy weekend, getting my daughter and son-in-law moved to Chatham. My kids next door, along with my son-in-law’s daughter, her husband, and her one-year old daughter from Abingdon all came to help.
We went to breakfast first and then the rest of them took off for Chatham. I stayed home after helping them pack and load. I just took the evening to be depressed by their absence.
My dog was missing them too. It was way too quiet. I think he thought they would come home at any given moment. Today, Sunday, he’s still looking out the window for them. It will take him a few days to get back into his routine--me too.
