Cleaning up after the storm

Last weekend turned out to be a busy one. With the storms we had, we ended up with lots of limbs and part of the top of one tree in the front yard. I'm glad it didn't fall on any wires or into the pond.  My son next door started the clean-up and my daughter and her husband came to stay a few days before heading back to the state of Virginia. They helped to clean up the storm damage. I did help pick a few limbs up, so that got done. The kids then started on the pool clean-up and then went swimming. They said it was cool getting in and that the water felt good.
I fixed chicken enchiladas and salad, and after a few hands of euchre we had an apple pie I had left from market. The kids left on Tuesday morning for Virginia. They will be back the first of August for my son-in-law to start his new job at U of I Springfield.
