Santa's Arrival – Santa Claus made his first official appearance in Virginia at the end of the Annual Christmas Parade to officially kick off the Christmas season.  After the parade, Santa visited with children to hear their Christmas wishes.

Glen R. Wankel, 73, of Hillsboro passed away Nov. 26 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
    He was born April 5, 1945, in Beardstown to Glen and Dolores (Utter) Wankel.
