Frances E. “Susie” Hish, 92, of Beardstown died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at her home.
    She was born July 29, 1928, in Beardstown, the daughter of Harry J. and Ruth Morgan Lucas. She married Dale Hish on Aug. 7, 1948, in Beardstown and he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2008.
    She is survived by one son, James R. (Debbie) Hish of Beardstown; one daughter, Yvonne E. (Michael) Ogden of Columbus, MS; two grandchildren, Carrie (Eric) McCoy of Richmond, TX and Brandon (Cami) Ogden of Beardstown; and seven great-grandchildren, Bradley (partner, Ashley) McCoy, Samantha McCoy, Trenton McCoy, Sophya Ogden, Bryson Ogden, Miranda Ogden and Liam Ogden.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, James Dale Hish; and one brother, Bernard J. Lucas (surviving wife, Jane of Beardstown).
    Mrs. Hish was a graduate of Beardstown High School and was employed by the Cass County Clerk’s Office for over 20 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beardstown. She very much enjoyed her cattle on the family farm and was part owner of Hish Cattle. Frances’s true love was for family and the many special memories she shared with them.
    Cremation will be accorded with private family burial being held at a later date. There will be no formal services.
