Exchange Club honors two students

    Two students from the same family were presented awards by the Exchange Club of Beardstown on March 19.
    Trevor Cottle, Assistant Principal of Gard School first introduced Adam Kirchner, son of Charles and Randi Kirchner as the March Young Citizenship Award winner. Adam, a Beardstown Middle School student, has a GPA of 3.5, participates in band and football, and helps with the eighth grade basketball team. His teacher says he is unselfish and trustworthy, often helping others with homework and working in the Snack Shack during athletic events.
    Recognized as the March Youth of the Month was Mikaila Kirchner, daughter of Charles and Randi Kirchner. Mikaila has a GPA of 4.272 on a scale of 4.0 and has participated in girls’ golf, softball, basketball, Art Club, and Key Club and is president of both the National Honor Society and the Class of 2015.
