Donald Lee Knowles, 75,  Bayllis, died April 20, 2022. He was born in Beardstown to Perry Ralph Knowles and Betty Louise Mitchell. He married Norita Whitlock on October 30, 1983. She survives.

He is also survived by six children: Donald Knowles, Jr., Christopher Knowles, and Angie Knowles, all of Arkansas, Travis Lee Knowles (Heidi Smith) of Fishhook, Terry (Catie Kowles) and  Dustin (Krystal) Knowles, both of Baylis; a special niece, Stacey (Tim) Brown of Baylis, a special nephew, Matthew (Amy) Ruble of Springfield. He had numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, William Hovendon, sister, Kathy Turner, stepson, Mark Bush, brother-in-law, Randy Lyons and Darrell Hecox.

Mr. Knowles worked at Bohn in Beardstown for 24 years. He was a US Army veteran, serving for 24 years.

He was an avid commercial fisherman and hunter. He loved gardening and doing the farmers market. His great love was his wife, his children and grndchildren.

Graveside services will be at Grey Cemetery, New Salem, at 2:00 p.m. April 30, 2022.
