Virginia-The Illinois Department of Public Health has confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 in Cass County. A male in his 60s was positive over the weekend and female in her 60s was confirmed today. Both new cases have been notified and instructed to isolate at home; close contacts have also been notified and instructed to quarantine.
Cass County’s overall COVID-19 case count is now at 415. The total number recovered is 384, with 11 deceased. There is currently one case hospitalized.
The Cass County Health Department reminds residents to continue to practice healthy habits to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Wash hands, disinfect frequently used surfaces, stay home if sick, and practice social distancing and mask wearing when out in public.
