Six new COVID cases reported in Cass

Virginia-The Illinois Department of Public Health confirmed six new cases of COVID-19 in Cass County Thursday.  The positive individuals include a male in his 20s, a female in her 30s, a male in his 30s, two females in their 60s, and a male in his 60s.  All new cases have been notified and instructed to isolate at home; close contacts have also been notified and instructed to quarantine.

Cass County’s overall Covid-19 case count is now at 413. The total number recovered is 381, with eleven deceased.  There is currently one case hospitalized.

 CCHD reminds residents to continue to practice healthy habits to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands, disinfect frequently used surfaces, stay home if you’re sick, and practice social distancing and mask wearing when you’re out in public.
